Traffic & Parking Tips

  • Stagger Arrival Times: Morning congestion peaks between 7:20 and 7:30 a.m. Plan to arrive slightly earlier or later to avoid the heaviest traffic.
  • Optimize Afternoon Pickup: Campus parking lots are significantly clearer between 3:05 and 3:10 p.m. Arriving a few minutes later can save you time in line.
  • Late Pick-up: Students waiting for rides after 3:15 p.m. should wait in the Learning Commons and be picked up from Lot A.
  • Keep Drop-offs Moving: Have students packed and ready to exit vehicles quickly upon arriving.
  • Use Designated Zones Only: Pick up and drop off only in designated areas. Do not have students cross active parking lots, driveways, or roads.
  • Set a Meeting Spot: Agree on a specific designated pick-up location with your student ahead of time.
  • Campus Safety & Speed Limits: Obey the 10 mph campus-wide speed limit (new signage is going up this week). Slow down for speed bumps and yield at every crosswalk.
  • Student Parking Permits: Driving students must register for a parking permit to avoid receiving a penalty.

Roadwork Updates & Late Starts:

  • Wyoga Lake Road Construction: Enbridge Gas has partnered with us to keep two lanes open during standard drop-off and pickup times. However, expects delays on Late Start mornings while they complete their line installation.
  • Adjusted Doors for Late Starts: On Late Start Days (every Wednesday and the first Thursday of each month), doors open at 8:50 a.m. to give students extra time before 9:22 a.m. classes begin. Early arrival is strongly encouraged to beat roadwork delays.
  • Early Drop-off Option: On Late Start Days, students may arrive as early as 7:15 a.m. via the Fieldhouse doors and wait in the Cafeteria until 8:50 a.m.

Homecoming Week – September 14-18

Spirit Week Dress-up Days

This is one of our favorite times of year! Get creative, have fun, and see who can bring each theme to life! Just make sure you follow the Dress-up Guidelines!

Dress-up Guidelines:

  • NOT Allowed: Shorts, skirts, jeans, leggings, spandex, camisoles
  • Allowed: Sweatpants and athletic pants

Win Points! Costume participation, hall decorations, ministry outreach participation, and pep assembly competitions all add points towards winning the Spirit Stick for your Class or House!

Monday: Character Day – Dress as a character from a movie, TV show, book, video game, or anything else you love. Get creative, have fun, and see who can bring their character to life!

Tuesday: Twin Day – You know what to do! Grab your best friend and pick out your best matching outfits. We want to be seeing double!

Wednesday: Christmas in September – Bring a little holiday cheer to September! Break out your Santa hats, ugly sweaters, festive pajamas, reindeer gear, and anything red, green, or sparkly.

Thursday: Dress like a Teacher – Channel your inner educator. Dress up as your favorite teacher or the classic ‘teacher look.’

Friday: Class/House Color

  • Seniors: Bright Pink
  • Juniors/Tozer: Purple
  • Sophomores/Douglass: Green
  • Freshmen/Elliot: Yellow
  • 8th Grade: Turquoise
  • 7th Grade: Yellow
  • 6th Grade: Red

Spirit Week Outreach Project

Middle School students are to bring items for the Canton Area Outreach:

  • 6th Grade: Bars of Soap
  • 7th Grade: Toothpaste
  • 8th Grade: Toothbrushes and liquid dish soap

High school students bring the following items for Haven of Rest:

  •  9th Grade: Body wash, toilet paper, and toothpaste
  • 10th Grade: Toothbrushes and tissue boxes
  • 11th Grade: Body lotion and Clorox wipes
  • 12th Grade: Shampoo, deodorant, and paper towels

Parents: Check your email for ticket purchasing information and student/guest waivers.

Christian College Fair – September 22

We are excited to share a wonderful opportunity for your students to begin exploring their future college options. The annual Christian College Fair will be held right here at CVCA, featuring representatives from approximately 25 Christian colleges from across the nation.

College Expo – September 22

CVCA will also host a College Expo for CVCA families before the Christian College Fair on September 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

  • Learn more about the basics of how to navigate the college preparation, application, and selection process; get a copy of CVCA’s College Planning Handbook; and hear from our school and college counselors about the services they offer.
  • Several special guests will also be available to answer questions on college-related topics, including applying to selective colleges, college athletic recruiting, and military academies.

ACADEMIC CHALLENGE for 6th and 7th Grade

Sixth- and seventh-graders interested in trivia and fun facts can now join the Academic Challenge team.

  • What: Weekly lunchtime practices for trivia enthusiasts and fact-lovers, with opportunities to compete in tournaments.

Football Games Traffic Flow and Parking

Please keep the following traffic guidelines in mind when attending football games on campus. A detailed map is available HERE.

  • Spectators are encouraged to arrive at the campus from the south (Steels Corners) and leave to the north (Seasons Rd.) Use the North Entrance for Lot A parking. (This access is only available during football games.)
  • Use the North Entrance for Lot B handicap spaces. (Lot B is handicap parking only.)
  • The Main Entrance is only for front circle and Lot A parking.
  • Use the South Exit for Lots C and D. (This becomes both an entrance and exit at 5:00 p.m. on football game days.)
  • The drive behind the school closes at 3:30 p.m. on football game days. 

12th Annual CVCA Booster Club Golf Outing – October 3

The CVCA Booster Club supports our student-athletes by providing financial assistance to all athletic programs. Proceeds help cover state tournaments, uniforms, gear, Jterm trips, team devotional materials, and extra needs for coaches as we fulfill the CVCA Athletics mission.

Yearbook Distribution – September 16

Pick up your 2025–2026 yearbook before school on Wednesday, September 16, from 8:50 to 9:22 a.m. in the Fieldhouse!

  • Cost: Included with tuition, no extra charge!
  • New Students: Yearbooks are for returning students.
  • Graduates: 2026 graduates will be able to pick up their yearbook at a later date. 

If you miss pickup in the Fieldhouse, there will be some books available in the Front Office

HEALTH CLINIC UPDATE: New Going Home Procedures

A recent change has been implemented for sending students home ill from school. After receiving verbal authorization to leave school, a parent/guardian must update the Orah app to reflect that the student is leaving early so attendance has it on file. Thank you for understanding.

Students must stay home if they have experienced any of the following:

  • Fever: 100.4°F or higher (must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning)
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea: Within the past 24 hours
  • Respiratory Symptoms: Severe coughing, wheezing, or trouble breathing
  • Unexplained Rash: Especially with fever or behavior changes

Log all illness absences in the Orah app.

If diagnosed by a doctor with an infectious disease (e.g., strep, flu), notify the Main Office at attendance@cvcaroyals.org or 330-929-0575 with details so we can track trends and clean appropriately.

CVCA will host Short-Term Exchange Program students from September 24 to October 4, and we are looking for host families for our Brazilian and Norwegian students. This is a wonderful opportunities for our CVCA students and families. Questions? Contact Brenda Worth. Hosts provide:

Moms in Prayer

Moms of CVCA students and others in the CVCA Community are invited to join Moms in Prayer on campus each Monday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. to pray for our school, families, faculty, and staff. Meet at the Welcome Center. Please arrive by 7:50 a.m. with your photo ID to get checked in. Our first meeting will take place on Monday, September 14. If you are interested in joining us, please REGISTER HERE, even if you can’t come next week.
