Exciting News!

Thank you for joining us in prayer and giving towards this next chapter. As you know, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the For Such a Time as This building campaign! Thanks to the generous contributions from committed CVCA supporters, over $12 million has already been committed toward our $16 million goal. To learn more about this important and exciting endeavor, check out our new campaign webpage HERE.

SCHOOL-WIDE ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE'RE HIRING!

Would you or someone you know be interested in working at CVCA? There are several positions open now – both for this school year and next. Check them out HERE!

Local and Global Outreach Project – April 16-30

At CVCA, we are committed to looking beyond our school walls to serve others with both a local and global mindset, and each year look for intentional ways to support ministry partners. From April 16 to 30, we invite our students and staff to “dive in” and support the work God is doing in Ohio and around the world. By sacrificing small “favorite treats” for two weeks, we can make a significant collective impact for these ministries:

  • Item Donations: APS, Haven of Rest, and Urban Vision
  • Donated Funds: Arise, Nashville Mission Trip, and MGM (Dominican Republic)

How to Participate:

  • Direct Giving: To hit our school-wide goal, we are asking every student to donate $5 per week for two weeks. You can donate HERE  quickly and easily.
  • Grade-Level Donation Challenges: Each grade has been designated specific items to donate (see list below). You can start bringing these items to school on April 20.

As an incentive to help support these ministries, we are excited to offer dress-down days:

  • $5,000 and 600 items = 5 dress-down days
  • $4,000 and 500 items = 4 dress-down days
  • $3,000 and 400 items = 3 dress down days
  • $2,000 and 300 items = 2 dress-down days
  • $1,000 and 200 items = 1 dress-down day

host family needed for 2026-2027 school year

CVCA will host two international students for the 2026-2027 school year – two 11th-grade girls from our sister school in Norway. We are currently looking for a host family for one of these girls. If you are interested in hosting a student or would like to learn more, please contact Brenda Worth at bworth@cvcaroyals.org.

Service Hours Deadline – May 1

The deadline for the 16 service-hour requirement in all Bible classes is approaching, with submissions due by May 1. Most students have completed their service hours but need to enter them in the “Helper Helper” assignment in the Bible Service Canvas class. This will enable a parent to respond quickly to an automatic verification request. Please note that cell phone numbers receive the quickest response. We have seen some fantastic projects so far and it’s wonderful to witness the various ways our students are helping others in local churches and nonprofit organizations!

Royals Roadside

With construction on our Middle School expansion beginning later this spring, we are committed to keeping your daily commute as smooth as possible. To keep you informed, we’ve launched Royals Roadside, your go-to web page for all things traffic and construction.

NEW ROAD NOTICE: Planned construction at the intersection of Seasons Road and Allen Road includes the installation of a new traffic signal to improve safety and manage increased traffic.  Additionally, an immediate short-term closure is currently in place as of today, April 27, for approximately five days to complete railroad crossing repairs between Hudson Drive and Allen Road.

  • Detour: Motorists should use Hudson Drive and Allen Road to bypass the closure.

Visit the page HERE for the latest information on traffic and FAQs. If you missed our previous email, you can find it HERE.

  • Will there be advance notice of construction activity outside CVCA’s property?
    • Our goal is to share info as soon as we have it. Construction can be unpredictable, so while we’ll communicate all we can, there may be some unplanned activity from time to time.
  • How are we managing the impact?
    • We’re working closely with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and the project contractors to stay synced on timelines. These partnerships help us keep you informed and minimize disruptions to our school day.
  • I hear there’s a hotel going in next door? What is the plan?
    • The trees on the land to CVCA’s north were cut down in preparation for future residential housing. To date, the landowner and the construction company are preparing initial proposals for submission to the City of Cuyahoga Falls for approval. More details forthcoming as they are made available.
  • Is there construction planned for Wyoga Lake Road? How will that impact?
    • Yes. The Wyoga Lake Road construction project was recently awarded to a general contractor. The overall project extends from Steels Corner to Seasons Road. Construction is currently expected to start in June. Once the construction plan is published, more information will be available.
  • How will students and parents receive communication?
    • Information will be sent via email and in the Royal Weekly every Monday. Expect to hear from us regarding this topic in the coming weeks and months as we navigate this together.
  • Where should I park if no spaces are available?
    • If you are just dropping off and do not need to park during the school day, you can simply stop in the front circle outside the main entrance. We hope to keep the front entrance area free of student parking to ensure ample visitor parking.
  • Is general parking available in the visitor area?
    • Yes, we are hoping to keep several visitor spaces open during the school day.
