STEP Host Families Needed September 24 to October 4
CVCA will host Short-Term Exchange Program students from September 24 to October 4, and we are looking for host families for our Brazilian and Norwegian students. This is a wonderful opportunity for our CVCA students and families. Questions? Contact Brenda Worth.
Hosts provide:
- Accommodations, breakfast, and dinner
- Transportation to/from school
Roadwork Updates :
Embridge Gas continues to make progress and will aim to complete this job in early October.
- We want to make you aware that the City of Stow is beginning a road project on Seasons Road that is scheduled to start now and take approximately two weeks. This road construction will begin at the Stow City line on Seasons Road and end at Allen Road. This will likely impact traffic to CVCA; please allow extra time or consider an alternative route for the next two weeks.
Traffic & Parking Tips
- Stagger Arrival Times: Morning congestion peaks between 7:20 and 7:30 a.m. Plan to arrive slightly earlier or later to avoid the heaviest traffic.
- Late Pick-up: Students waiting for rides after 3:15 p.m. should wait in the Learning Commons and be picked up from Lot A.
- Use Designated Zones Only: Pick up and drop off only in designated areas. Do not have students cross active parking lots, driveways, or roads.
- Set a Meeting Spot: Agree on a specific designated pick-up location with your student ahead of time.
- Slow Down: Please strictly follow all posted speed limit signs. Slowing down shows respect for your fellow students, guests, and staff on our property.
- Follow the Patterns: Stick to the designated traffic routes, stay mindful of speed bumps, and practice patience as everyone adjusts to the new guidelines.
- Watch for Pedestrians: We have students crossing near the back of the building. Please slow down and yield to them as they walk to and from class.
- Late Start Mornings: Enbridge Gas is hard at work by the start of classes. Please allow extra time, particularly on late start days, to avoid arriving late to school. This will not always be the case, but for now we encourage you to do so.
COLLEGE AND CAREER PREP
College Expo – September 22
Don’t miss the College Expo for CVCA families on September 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel, before the Christian College Fair. Learn about the college prep and application process, pick up CVCA’s College Planning Handbook, and meet with school and college counselors. Families will also have a chance to speak with Special Expert Guests about selective college admissions, athletic recruiting, and military academies.
Christian College Fair – September 22
CVCA will host the annual Christian College Fair on Tuesday, September 22, at 6:00 p.m., featuring representatives from approximately 25 colleges nationwide.
Open to all area high school students and their families.

ACT Test Prep at CVCA – September 28-30
ACT test preparation is available at CVCA through our test prep partner, PATHworks! on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, September 28–30, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Register HERE.
- First Class: Full practice test and score to identify patterns, pacing issues, and accuracy gaps.
- Second Class: English and Reading
- Third Class: Math and Science
- Bonus: Live Virtual Follow-Up Coaching Session before September 19

STUDENT LIFE
4Muk Spirit Wear Available
Shirts and sweatshirts honoring Coach Muk and his example, impact, legacy, and faith are now available. We want these shirts to remind us of how Coach Muk lived out his faith and continually pointed those around him toward Christ.
A portion of the proceeds from every shirt purchased will go directly to support Suzy and the Muklewicz family. We would love for our CVCA families, students, alumni, and friends to unite by purchasing a shirt and wearing it for our 4Muk Game on Friday, October 2.
Traffic & Parking for Friday, September 25
This Friday night will be a busy night on Wyoga Lake Road. Your Royals host Lake Catholic in North Coast Conference action. Walsh Jesuit is also home this week, hosting rival Archbishop Hoban. Traffic will be slow, and on-campus parking will be limited. Spectators are encouraged to carpool and arrive early.

If you’ve seen Shya Coffee at various CVCA events, enjoyed every sip, and support our cause, consider a monthly subscription at a discounted price. We’ll drop off subscriptions at the Welcome Center or deliver them to your student’s locker on the 15th of each month.
Health Clinic News
A recent change has been implemented for sending students home ill from school. After receiving verbal authorization to leave school, a parent/guardian must update the Orah app to reflect that the student is leaving early so attendance has it on file. Thank you for understanding.
Moms in Prayer
Moms of CVCA students are invited to campus each Monday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. to pray for our school, families, faculty, and staff. Meet at the Welcome Center by 7:50 a.m. with your photo ID for check-in. To pray for CVCA from home, this PRAYER CARD is a good guide.

Crossing Guard Position Open
CVCA is looking to hire a Crossing Guard to serve as a visible safety presence and consistently apply the school’s established crosswalk and traffic-management methodology.
This person will help maintain a safe, orderly, and consistent flow of students, pedestrians, and vehicles during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
