Welcome Center Administrator

The Position:

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is seeking a Welcome Center Administrator. This position serves as the primary contact for students, parents, and guests as they enter the building to CVCA; creating and promoting a positive, welcoming environment. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Dean of Students.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a personal, active, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrate behavior aligned with CVCA’s mission statement, statement of faith, core values, policies, and expectations
  • Faithfully uphold CVCA in prayer, including the main entrance and campus
  • Welcome people to the school campus (often the first face of the campus to students, parents, and guests)
  • Oversee lobby signage including the development of front lobby welcome displays for special visiting groups/student exchanges
  • Ensure students, visitors, and volunteers sign “in” and “out”
  • Provide Student Passes to students
  • Locate students as needed
  • Process paperwork for students who have an Unexcused Tardy
  • Direct people to the right contact person(s), places, and resources
  • Distribute information, brochures, and fliers about the school and its events
  • Handle telephone messages and voice mail received at the Welcome Center
  • Coordinate with Office Support Staff and Student Office Assistants
  • Oversee Early Bus Dismissal (students, drivers, coordination with Walsh)
  • Handle overall security and pedestrian traffic flow within the main hall area and entrance
  • Notify Facilities and/or the Office Staff of emergency situations
  • Responsible for safety/emergency floor plan maps and procedures throughout the building in coordination with Administration and CFP&FDs and relaying same to faculty and staff
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Associate degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an administrative school setting
