MIDDLE SCHOOL – January 6, 7, 8, 2026 – Registration begins on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
We have seen the Lord work in remarkable ways within the growing middle school community each year. We are excited to introduce a new Jterm model offering our, now larger group of middle school students greater choice, including on-campus activities, local outings, and domestic trips. We believe this flexible approach will better accommodate our diverse community and foster deeper engagement in each activity.
Participation in Jterm is required for all middle school students. Please see the Middle School Jterm 2026 Experience Offerings HERE.
- Grade 6: Students must enroll for their grade-specific Jterm. Students will participate in three excursion days of enrichment activities, hands-on experiences, and meaningful service opportunities as a class.

- All-day class
- Morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) class sessions – creating a full-day experience
- Trip
- Student Independent Study (parent proposal required)
Yearbooks Are Here!
Students can pick up their yearbook before school on Wednesday, September 24 in the Fieldhouse. Yearbooks are included in tuition for the year they are produced. That means if your student attended CVCA last school year (2024–2025), they are entitled to receive a book. To pick up their book, Students should:
- Go to the Fieldhouse before first period
- Go to their grade-level table
- Tell the student volunteers their name
Head to their first period class after receiving their book
We are excited for students to see and enjoy all the memories captured in last year’s book!
Chapel Banner
Each school year, we pick a book of the Bible to study over the course of the year in Chapel. This year, we will focus on Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) with special emphasis given to the Beatitudes. The tag line for our banner this year is the “Upside Down Kingdom.” It underscores the idea that the priorities of Jesus’s kingdom often contrast with the ways of the world. In Matthew 5-7, Jesus’s teachings seem to be flipping things upside down, defying worldly wisdom, and ultimately bringing the focus back to Himself. Whether it’s money, forgiveness, or anxiety, Jesus points us to a way of living that is counter to conventional wisdom.
We pray that our students will consider deeply the teaching of Jesus and seek to live as part of His “Upside Down Kingdom.”
Shya Designs House Parties
Shya Designs (a student-run business, part of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship) partners with women-owned businesses in Rwanda, purchasing their designed creations as a way to support them. This allows us to share their stories and sell their products here in the States. House parties are key in helping to support these women and share their stories. If you are interested in more information or would like to host a party in your home, reach out to pzhu26@cvcaroyals.org or jswi26@cvcaroyals.org.
WEBSITE HIGHLIGHTS
Canvas or Family Portal?
Do you know the difference between Canvas and Family Portal? Both are easily accessed through the MY CVCA page and serve as valuable tools for CVCA families.
- Canvas (LMS – Learning Management System) is the hub for academics. Students use it to submit assignments, track due dates, and engage with course materials.
- Family Portal (FACTS) is designed for school-related business. Parents use it for payments such as field trips and activities. It also provides access to student transcripts, progress reports, and report cards – the only academic crossover with Canvas.

A Culture of Generosity
Gracious donors inside and outside our walls see the value, benefit, and, more importantly, the impact of CVCA on the trajectory of each student, their family, future vocation, and their community. God is doing great work through CVCA, and He continues to use your gifts to help fund the needs of our students, families, and teachers. Please join us in praying for our community as we get closer to our October Month of Giving.
Our Prayer: Father God, guide us to be faithful stewards of the resources You’ve entrusted to us, for we know that all we’ve been blessed with is ultimately Yours. Let our generosity reflect Your own, showing the world Your boundless love and grace. Help us to be boldly counterculture and embody true generosity as those who follow Christ. Teach us to give selflessly and sacrificially, and may our community continue to be a living example of generosity and joy, inspiring others through our actions and reflecting Your endless grace.
