END ZONE CELEBRATION: Every family that gives to the Annual Fund during October Giving will receive tickets to the final home football game this Friday, October 24 and is invited to sit in the End Zone Celebration area at Royals Stadium. Admissions Open House – October 23
Do you know a family that is interested in attending CVCA? They can register for Open House HERE. Open House will be on October 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The CVCA application is now open for any new students interested in applying for CVCA for the 2026-2027 school year. Due to anticipated high enrollment, we encourage families to apply now to secure their place in the admissions process!
ROYAL THEATRE FALL PLAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW
The Royal Theatre will present the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol on November 12 at 6:30 p.m., and on November 14 and 15 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open half an hour before show time. Purchase your tickets HERE.
Wednesday, November 12 is Junior Royals Night! Junior Royals receive one free general admission ticket, a stocking of Christmas treats, an exclusive Junior Royals meet and greet with the cast, and more! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or with cash or check at the door. Family members pay standard admission. Register your Junior Royals HERE. Middle School Play TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Hearing and Vision Screenings – October 20, 21, 24
Attention parents of 7th-, 9th-, and 11th-graders: The Health Clinic will conduct annual health screenings during the week of October 20.
- Monday, October 20 – 9th-Grade Hearing and Vision
- Tuesday, October 21 – 7th-Grade Vision and Posture
- Friday, October 24 – 11th-Grade Hearing and Vision
Additionally, please ensure they wear/bring corrective lenses and/or hearing aids.
SCHOOL PICTURE RETAKE DAY – Tomorrow, October 21
Picture Retake Day will be Tuesday, October 21.
- Students may have their picture retaken if:
- They were absent on the original Picture Day
- They ordered photos, received their packet, and are not satisfied with their pictures
- To participate in retakes, please return your original photo packet. A new packet cannot be printed without the originals.
- Retakes are only available for students and staff who placed an order. If you still need to place an order, the link is in the email you received.
Grad Yearbooks are Ready
Class of 2025 graduates can now pick up their Yearbooks at the Welcome Center during school hours. Anyone may sign out a book on behalf of a recent graduate. Yearbooks will be available for pickup until the end of the school year.

Canvas or Family Portal?
Do you know the difference between Canvas and Family Portal? Both are easily accessed through the MY CVCA page and serve as valuable tools for CVCA families.
- Canvas (LMS – Learning Management System) is the hub for academics. Students use it to submit assignments, track due dates, and engage with course materials.
- Family Portal (FACTS) is designed for school-related business. Parents use it for payments such as field trips and activities. It also provides access to student transcripts, progress reports, and report cards – the only academic crossover with Canvas.

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tenth-Grade Mission Trip
We are excited to announce an upcoming mission trip opportunity for tenth graders, offering both meaningful service opportunities and exciting local activities. The students will serve seniors at adult day programs, assist children at a children’s ministry camp, and support 1st- through 8th-grade students in a Christian summer literacy program, among other activities. In addition to service, the trip will include sightseeing in the city of Nashville.
Trip applications will be sent directly to each student and are due on October 27.

SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COUNSELING
ACT/SAT Test Prep
In-person ACT test preparation is available at CVCA through our test prep partner, PATHworks! Students attend three sessions on October 28, 29, 30 – 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Room 112. The cost is $355 for all three classes. (Classes will also be offered February 24-26). - First Class: Full practice test and score with feedback
- Second Class: Groundwork, English, and Math sections
- Third Class: Action Planning, Reading, and Science sections
Additional ACT/SAT test prep options are available HERE, including free, online Naviance test prep on students’ Chromebooks.
Upcoming ACT Test dates: October 18, December 13, February 14, March 10 (all juniors taking at CVCA), and April 11. Register at myact.org for all test dates except for the March 10 test.

Summit Metro Police Cadet Program
The Summit Metro Police Cadet program is designed for students aged 14 to 18 who are interested in pursuing a career as a police officer. They will meet on October 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls PD training Center (3491 Wyoga Lake Road, Cuyahoga Falls). Learn more and RSVP HERE.

Did you know Moms in Prayer prays for CVCA? Did you know each student, by name, is prayed over and for? Join us next Monday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. as we begin prayer for each 9th grade student and the needs of this community. Can’t join in person? That’s OK. The CVCA Gavel Club will meet on Wednesday, October 29, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Room 99. Meetings will then be held every two weeks throughout the school year.
