Student Testing and Calendar Change – April 18

This month, ninth and tenth grade students at CVCA will take Ohio’s required graduation tests. In order to protect class time for our teachers, we have made an adjustment to our originally planned testing schedule for April 17 and 18. (The school calendar originally listed testing for April 17 and 18.) Monday, April 17 will be a regular school day (starting at 7:50 a.m. for all students). Tuesday, April 18 will still be a late start day (8:55 a.m. start for grades 6-8 and 11-12). All ninth and tenth graders will report to school by 7:50 a.m. for graduation testing on that Tuesday.

CVCA Grandparents Day is Friday, April 14, 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. Grandparents will get an inside peek at their grandchild’s life as a student at CVCA by starting the morning with muffins and coffee with their grandchild(ren) and then briefly visiting classrooms and teachers. Students should plan to arrive with their grandparents at the Fieldhouse that morning. Local grandparents were sent an invite in the mail with a RSVP form or they can register HERE.

We are excited to share that $350,000 was raised at the 2023 Royal Evening for student tuition assistance! This is the highest amount raised at a Royal Evening in the last 24 years! We are so thankful to ALL who made this event a success. Thank you for praying, donating to class gift baskets, volunteering, serving that evening, attending the event, building a table of guests at the event, giving, and more. The CVCA community is even more blessed by your involvement and joyful giving! Thank you, especially, to:

  • The 504 wonderful guests who attended
  • Our 108 awesome student volunteers who made the event extra special
  • The 42 generous sponsors who underwrote the entire cost of the event (plus some)
  • Our 40 amazing parent helpers who worked tirelessly

We are happy to report that CVCA students and parents teamed up to donate a total of 1,852 items for our school-wide Hope Totes campaign for the Haven of Rest. When they took our boxes to the facility, they weighed 570 pounds! Thank you for your generous support.
