DECEMBER 2025

Grandparents Days

It was a pure delight to welcome so many grandparents to campus for Grandparents Days on November 24 and 25.

It truly was our pleasure to offer you a glimpse into your grandchildren’s middle and high school lives. We hope that through conversations with teachers, classroom visits, walks through the hallways, and sharing our weekly Chapel with your grandchild, you were able to see the Christ-honoring, excellent education – and the meaningful experience – your grandchildren are receiving.

We also know the vital role you play in shaping your grandchildren’s faith. Your investment of time, talent, and treasure in your grandkids and the generations to come will echo throughout eternity. What an eternal return on your investment!

CVCA Announces New Campaign

For many years, we have experienced tremendous growth, and are continually amazed by how God has provided for us. Each year, we welcome new students, talented faculty and staff, and families seeking a biblically based, academically excellent Christian education. We do not take this growth lightly. We believe God is calling us to respond to families seeking a community where their children can be trained, mentored, and consistently pointed toward our Savior.

As our middle school enrollment continues to increase, it has become clear that CVCA must create more space or risk turning families away. With the support of incredibly generous donors, we have decided to expand our campus so that we can continue teaching, training, and mentoring the next generation.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the For Such a Time as This building campaign! Thanks to the generous contributions from committed CVCA supporters, over $12 million has already been committed toward our $16 million goal. We are humbled and encouraged by the generosity already shown which allows us to move forward with confidence.

We invite you to learn more about the For Such a Time as This campaign through the button below. In the meantime, we ask that you join us in praying for CVCA, the success of this endeavor, and God’s guidance on how He may use you in this campaign to impact the next generation.

Great End-of Year Ways to Support CVCA

Ohio Tax-Credit Scholarship Program

Would you like to have a say in where some of your Ohio tax dollars go? Good news – you can! Through the Ohio Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), you can direct a portion of your state taxes to support students at CVCA – up to $1,500! This short video explains more.

Here’s how it works: Give through Ohio’s SGO and designate CVCA, and your donation is credited dollar-for-dollar against your Ohio state taxes – so it costs you nothing.

  • Although the donation deadline is April 15, 2026, we thought this information would be helpful as you work on your 2025 taxes.
  • To contribute, click HERE and select Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy from the drop-down menu. More details are available HERE.
  • Because this opportunity is available to any Ohio taxpayer, we’d be grateful if you would share it with friends, family, and neighbors.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

If you are age 70½ or older in 2025, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your traditional (pre-tax) IRA directly to CVCA. A QCD can help you avoid the income tax you would otherwise pay if you withdrew the funds personally.

For reference, the maximum QCD amount for 2024 is $105,000 per person. If you must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) in 2025, your QCD may count toward your RMD, which must be taken by December 31, 2025.

These are simple, win-win opportunities to reduce taxes while supporting CVCA. Year-end arrives quickly—please don’t wait until the last minute, as your investment provider may need time to process the distribution accurately.
