An Unforgettable Night of Community & Tradition
On Friday, September 18, the CVCA campus came alive as we welcomed nearly 700 alumni and their families back home! The Lord blessed us with a picture-perfect evening to gather, reconnect, and celebrate our shared Royal legacy.
Alumni enjoyed catching up over food trucks, visiting the custom “dirty soda” bar sponsored by Good Golly, and taking building tours to see how much our campus has grown. In the end zone, the VIP tent offered a cozy spot with complimentary snacks to take in the game, while our youngest future Royals stayed busy with games and prizes.
A special thank you to our True Blue volunteers who helped to make our evening a success!

Making Room for the Mission: Building Update
Big things are happening on campus! Progress on our Middle School addition is moving swiftly and right on schedule. Here is what’s happening behind the scenes:
- Right Now: Teams are laying the block walls and running core underground electrical and plumbing lines.
- By Late October: Olivieri Construction will finish the block walls and begin raising the steel beams for the first and second stories.
- By Late November: The structure is scheduled to be completely under roof—just in time for winter!
The 80s Came Back to Campus!
On August 4, CVCA welcomed back over 115 alumni and their guests, along with former faculty and staff, for an unforgettable 80s Decade Reunion with the classes of 1980-1990. The day was filled with non-stop laughter and genuine nostalgia as former classmates reconnected, flipped through old yearbooks, and took a walk down memory lane with a special video slideshow. Attendees also enjoyed guided campus tours to see how the school has grown, along with fantastic food and rich fellowship. Above all, the event was a powerful celebration of God’s abiding faithfulness over the decades—seen clearly in the lifelong friendships created here and the bright, smiling faces of so many alumni genuinely grateful to be back home at CVCA.
Class of 1976 50th Year Reunion
Laughter and long-lost memories filled the halls of CVCA on September 5, as 22 alumni from the Class of 1976 gathered to celebrate their milestone 50th reunion. For at least one in attendance, it was the very first time stepping foot back on campus in half a century. Former classmates reconnected, shared a delicious meal together, and enjoyed fellowship rooted in their shared faith and history.
A guided tour of the school, by Dr. Roger Taylor, allowed the class to see firsthand how God has continued to work through CVCA, witnessing its growth while honoring the Christ-centered foundation they built their lives upon. Reflecting on God’s faithfulness over the last 50 years made for a truly joyful and blessed celebration!
Young Alumni News
Alumni Lauren Joyce ’25, Brynna Chantry ’25, Gavin O’Keefe ’25, and Tessa O’Keefe ’25 shared with us that they are on the College of Business Dean’s Team at The University of Akron. Congratulations!
Class of 2006 Reunites
The Class of 2006 celebrated their 20-year reunion at the Towpath Tennis Center, courtesy of Natalie (Aleman) Soto. They shared a meal, reminisced about high school, and gave it their best shot on the pickleball courts.

Welcoming the Newest Royals
Our Royals community continues to grow! Nearly 600 guests joined us for food truck fare, a VIP tent, sweet & salty snacks, and fellowship at our annual New Family Tailgate on August 28. We extend our deepest gratitude to the volunteers who gave their time and effort to welcome our newest families. Special thanks to CVCA Alum Rachel (Coffey) McGinley ’02 for sponsoring this event.
