Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the entire CVCA complex, including all buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position also has responsibilities associated with the Fieldhouse Rental Site staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs day-to-day inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair of buildings and equipment
  • Responds to emergency situations and evaluates and corrects issues
  • Performs routine maintenance and facility set-up
  • Trains Fieldhouse Rental Site staff in both procedural and operational duties and responsibilities; provides corresponding guidance as necessary; assesses the operational needs of the staff; and ensures the staff is meeting the expectations for this position
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical courses or mechanical experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance, crouch, kneel, crawl, ascend and lay horizontally as determined by task
  • Climb, work and descend up to 18 feet on a ladder
  • Work from mobile or fixed scaffolding
  • Work from a scissor lift
  • Push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, repeatedly
  • Physically handle working in all weather extremes
  • Weekend work may occasionally be required
