At CVCA, our Royal Volunteers are the backbone of many of our most significant efforts. Your dedication is vital to maintaining our standards of excellence and our unwavering commitment to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are incredibly grateful for the spirit and service you bring to our campus. Beyond the immense impact you make, volunteering at CVCA is a lot of fun! It builds a lasting connection to our community, fosters great friendships, and enables others to use their skills and talents for the Lord.
IT’S THE BIGGEST EVENT OF THE YEAR!
The Royal Evening is a highlight of the year for the CVCA community. It celebrates God’s faithfulness to His school and serves as our largest annual fundraiser, traditionally raising over $300,000 each year for student tuition assistance! (Learn more HERE.)
Volunteering for the Royal Evening is a fantastic opportunity to use your talents to benefit CVCA, and it’s a lot of fun! Our goal is to have EVERY family involved in this year’s event in some capacity.
There are numerous volunteer opportunities available, including:
- Washing Coffee Mugs for the Royal Evening Coffeehouse – Can be done at home – Volunteers needed now through April 17.
- Pre-event Administrative Tasks – Volunteers needed now through April 17
- Silent Auction Donation Collection – Volunteers needed now through April 1
- Decorating and Setup – Volunteers needed on Friday, April 17
- Contributing to Class Baskets
- Auction Setup and Event Volunteers (including a cashier who would need to be fingerprinted by March 31) – Volunteers needed on Saturday, April 18

JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM – May 8, 2026
Junior-Senior Prom is a special night for our upperclassmen. You can be part of the event and help make it memorable by volunteering to set up and decorate the venue at Quaker Square Station in Akron.
There are morning and afternoon time slots available on May 8.
STARRY NIGHT – April 11, 2026
Sponsored by CVCA Athletics, Starry Night is a national prom-style celebration designed for individuals with special needs. For one unforgettable evening, guests walk the red carpet, hear their names cheered, enjoy dinner, dancing, karaoke, and are crowned in celebration.
Starry Night is made possible by an incredible community of volunteers who believe every person deserves to be celebrated. Whether you decide to be a High Five Volunteer or a Buddy Volunteer, taking part in this event is sure to bring lots of joy to everyone!
COACHES APPRECIATION DINNER – April 11, 2026
Each spring, our Athletics Department hosts the annual CVCA Athletic Coaches Appreciation Dinner. Dinner is served to all of our coaches and their families in the Rasnick Center.
Volunteers are appreciated to help set up at 3:30 p.m. and then join the clean-up crew at 7:00 p.m.
We love this night as we celebrate together and enjoy a full athletic season. More details will will be provided in a follow-up email.
