Any time a student will be absent for all or part of a day, parents should report the absence through the Orah app by 7:55 a.m. (Log in using the parent email in FACTS.) Student schedules will sync with Orah the week of August 10.

CVCA has a Continuous Enrollment Policy for all students. Continuous Enrollment means that once a student is enrolled, it is assumed the student will continue attending CVCA until graduation unless the school is informed otherwise.

Yondr Phone-Free Campus Policy:

  • CVCA is a phone-free campus from 7:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. to support student wellness, engagement, and focus.
  • Students lock their phones, smartwatches, and AirPods in school-issued Yondr bags during the school day.
  • Parents can reach students for urgent needs via the Main Office (330-929-0575) or send non-urgent messages using ParentSquare/StudentSquare
  • Medical pouch requests can be submitted to the Health Clinic HERE.

Yondr FAQ:

How does the Yondr bag process work step-by-step each day?

  • First Period (7:50 a.m.): Under teacher supervision, students power off (or put into airplane mode) their cell phones, AirPods, and smartwatches, place them into their assigned Yondr bag, and lock it.
  • During the School Day: Students keep their locked Yondr bag inside their backpack or locker.
  • Dismissal (2:50 p.m.): Students unlock their Yondr bags at designated unlocking stations before leaving campus.

What are the student responsibilities regarding their assigned Yondr bag?

Yondr bags are the property of CVCA (similar to school Chromebooks). Students are required to bring their assigned bag to school every single day, keep it in good condition, and pay for a replacement if the bag is lost or damaged.

How can parents reach students during school hours?

  • Emergency/Urgent Matters: Call the CVCA Main Office directly at 330-929-0575.
  • Non-Urgent Messages: Contact students via email or ParentSquare, which students can check on their CVCA-issued Chromebooks during the day.

What happens if a student violates the policy or requires a medical exception?

  • Policy Violations: Students who fail to follow the Yondr policy will be referred to the Middle School or High School Principal’s Office for disciplinary consequences outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook.
  • Medical Exceptions: Students with medical documentation requiring device access can submit a request form to the CVCA Health Clinic to be approved for a Velcro medical pouch.

Parents/Guardians may take their student out of school when they deem it important enough. If the student will miss more than two days of classes, please notify the Academic Office at least two weeks in advance by completing THIS FORM.

Students are required to use the Helper Helper App to track and verify their Service Expectation hours (8 per semester). Students can download Helper Helper from the app store on their smart phone, or use the web app on their Chromebook. It is a quick, easy, and accurate way to track and verify their service hours. Students simply click “Add past commitments” and include their parent or guardian’s email address or phone number in order for the hours to be verified. The parent/guardian will then receive either an email or text to electronically verify the submitted hours.

  • 8 Hours (minimum) of approved service activity are required per semester
  • The Service Learning Coordinator will give final approval to verified hours that fit the Bible class guidelines.
