Ministry Overview:
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. We are committed to providing our students with experiences that will foster in them a servant’s heart, including extra-curricular activities, inter-scholastic athletics, music, theater, short-term mission trips, and numerous service opportunities. Job Summary:
Works closely with the Marketing Communications team to create content and communication for both internal and external audiences. Through collaboration and protection of brand essence and usage, this role promotes the organization while keeping messaging consistent, aesthetically pleasing, and accurate. Organizes communication activities that support the Admissions, Marketing, Development, and Public Relations objectives of CVCA. Ensures clear, intentional, engaging, and transparent communication between and among all constituencies (present, past, and future) of CVCA. Carefully manages brand image by maintaining and building our social media presence. Builds relationships with our constituencies to execute their communication goals best as they fit within the overall strategy and focus of CVCA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Social:
- Direct and guide the creation of social media posts, videos, graphics, and other content to maintain a consistent and high-quality online presence.
- Write engaging captions and choose appropriate visual assets to enhance storytelling and visibility
- Schedule and post content regularly across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Ensure all communication efforts reinforce the school’s mission and core values.
Analytic:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communication team to create a strategic digital marketing plan utilizing appropriate social media platforms.
- Implement strategy across social media platforms, ensuring timely, accurate, and relevant content.
- Measure results with analytics and reporting to create best practices to achieve desired results.
- Manage and report on digital advertising campaigns
- Oversee community engagement and relationship building to continue increasing visibility and engagement on social media platforms.
Photographic:
- Capture high-quality promotional photos for use in marketing materials, social media, and publications. This includes documenting daily campus life, covering events during the school day (such as chapel, classroom activities, or assemblies), and photographing select before- or after-school events.
- The photographer is expected to identify strong storytelling moments, maintain visual consistency with brand standards, and organize digital assets for shared use across departments.
- Organize photo/video sessions, including “casting”, inviting and organizing media days and shoots.
- Some video capabilities are needed to create social media content (reels and short video content).
Design:
- Design simple logos or visual marks for internal departments, clubs, or student-led initiatives, ensuring they align with CVCA’s overall brand identity. Create printed materials, from invitations to flyers and signs.
- Create and edit PDFs (digital/print), including signs and TV screens for internal promotional materials.
- Manage design merchandise for promotional materials and student-faculty staff (i.e. apparel).
- Design layout of large pieces that may also live online (brochures, college catalog, and student handbooks).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Social Media platform knowledge (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Adobe Suite knowledge (Specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Multitask with the ability to prioritize and hit deadlines
- Self-starter and takes initiative to troubleshoot and look for ways to improve
- Works well with a team and independently
- Willing to keep regular office hours

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous work experience in related fields is a plus
