Bring Urban Vision Christmas Store items by tomorrow!

CVCA has a long-standing tradition of support for Urban Vision, a local ministry founded by alumni Jody and Rodney Mathews. The Urban Vision Christmas Store provides items that Akron-area kids can purchase for their family members with Urban Vision bucks (“money” earned throughout the year by attending after school programs and Bible studies). The store is filled with both practical and fun donated Christmas gift items.

CVCA has traditionally been one of the largest single supporters of the Christmas Store, donating over 800 items each December. Urban Vision has provided a wish list of items (all under $12.00 each) that we have assigned to each grade. All items can be put into provided boxes at the Welcome Center area through Tuesday, November 23.

#(thanks)GivingTuesday is NOW through November 30!

Don’t let the Thanksgiving holiday go by without taking time to offer thanks to a teacher, coach, or staff member as part of CVCA’s biggest giving day, #(thanks)GivingTuesday! We are shooting for 100% participation from our families to meet a $100,000 matching gift. Your gift of any amount will be doubled when you give at cvcaroyals.org/giving. You can also write a note of appreciation in the comment/tribute line on the giving webpage. Your appreciation will be passed on to that person and your gift will directly impact student financial assistance, allowing more students to attend CVCA. Don’t miss this opportunity to give thanks for CVCA teachers and have your gift doubled NOW through November 30 at cvcaroyals.org/giving.

Celebrate #(thanks)GivingTuesday with Ugly Christmas Sweater Day – November 30

Students can join in the fun next Tuesday, November 30 as we celebrate #(thanks)GivingTuesday. Students will also be able to write thank you notes in study hall to teachers, coaches, and staff members.
