Student Testing and Late Start – April 18

On Tuesday, April 18, 9th and 10th-grade students will take Ohio’s required graduation tests. All 9th and 10th graders should report to school by 7:50 a.m. for testing. 

It will be a late start day (8:55 a.m.) for grades 6-8 and 11-12. Parents who have to drop off non-testing students before 8:55 a.m. are encouraged to use the Rasnick Center or Welcome Center doors as drop-off points. Students arriving early but not participating in state testing must wait in the Rasnick Center for the first school release bell at 8:55 a.m.

Career Window – April 18

Vinnie Fisher, CEO of Fully Accountable: Your Back Office Solution, will speak during both lunch periods on Tuesday, April 18 in Room 109. “Fully Accountable’s professionals go beyond basic bookkeeping. Our Finance-as-a-Service experts harness advanced software, BI, and data analytics to develop financial strategies tailored specifically for you.”

Wednesday Morning Worship – April 19

All students are invited to worship with CVCA staff and fellow students in the Chapel on Wednesday, April 19 at 7:50 a.m.


Tickets for The Royal Theatre’s Spring Musical, The Little Mermaid, are now for sale at

  • April 21, 22, 28 – 7:00 p.m.
  • April 26 – General Admission – 6:30 p.m.
  • April 29 – 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, April 26 is Junior Royals Night with general admission. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or with a check or cash at the door. Junior Royals receive one free admission ticket. Family members pay standard admission. Register your Junior Royal for the event HERE.

Junior-Senior Prom ticket sales – April 20-28

The CVCA Junior/Senior “Night Under the Stars” Prom will be held on Saturday, May 6 at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls. All CVCA juniors and seniors are invited. Tickets are $40.00 each and can be purchased in the Welcome Center lobby Thursday, April 20 through Friday, April 28. Watch your email for details!

Choir Audition Information Meeting – April 24

Do you enjoying singing? We would love to have you in choir! An Audition Information Meeting will be held on Monday, April 24 for all choirs during all lunch periods in the Choir Room (Room 141). See Mrs. Moore or any choir member for more details.

Royal Fools Improv Show – May 5

Join us for a night of laughter on Friday, May 5 in the Chapel. The show is FREE, so bring a friend!


CVCA presents SOBE’s 8th Annual Marketing Pitch Event on Tuesday, May 9, 5:30-8:00 p.m. (doors open at 5). Juniors will present their marketing plans to a panel of judges in front of a live audience. More details are available HERE.

University Hospitals Summer Service Opportunity

University Hospitals Portage Medical Center (UH campus located in Ravenna) will offer a Jr. Auxiliary Summer Service Group for high school students interested in service hours and philanthropy. Interested students can register HERE for one of the virtual information sessions offered on April 20 and April 22.

FCA Camp Volunteer Opportunities

The Akron FCA All Abilities Camp will be held at CVCA June 16-17. Volunteer opportunities are available. More information is available HERE.

CVCA Summer Camps

CVCA offers summer camps and music lessons for children ages 7-16. Led by CVCA coaches and athletes and Royal Theatre directors and student actors, campers enjoy learning new skills and making new friends in a Christ-centered environment. REGISTER HERE.

High School Girls Tennis Meeting – April 27

All girls interested in playing tennis in the fall should plan to attend this informational meeting on Thursday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Room 276. Contact Coach Ramey at with any questions.

Sports Physicals at CVCA – May 18

Summa Health will offer sports physicals at CVCA on Thursday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. These physicals will be valid for the entire 2023-2024 school year. Mark your calendars and look for more information in the weeks to come.
