The Royal Theatre

CVCA’s Royal Theatre is dedicated to “developing artistic excellence for the glory of God and the benefit of others.” The program gives students hands-on experience in every aspect of the theatrical arts. Through multiple full-length productions each school year, students of all ages learn acting, sound and lighting design, set construction, costuming, and more.

Each year, The Royal Theatre presents a middle school play and a high school play in the fall, offers a week-long theatre intensive during Jterm, and stages an all-school musical in the spring. Past productions have included beloved classics such as Newsies, Hello, Dolly!, The Little Mermaid,  Singin’ in the Rain, Beauty and the Beast, Our Town, and Fiddler on the Roof.

The Royal Theatre engages students year-round, including in the summer, when it hosts a theatre camp for students in grades 2–8, with high school student-actors serving as counselors and leaders.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to worship Christ through acting and singing in The Royal Theatre.
