Golf with CVCA at Glenmoor Country Club on June 2, 2025

Do you like to golf? Then this is the golf outing to be at!  This is your opportunity to play at a private Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio. The Annual CVCA Charity Golf Classic will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025 (11:00 a.m. shotgun start).

Gather your foursome of friends and colleagues to enjoy the best golf experience while supporting CVCA. Men and women of all golfing abilities are invited. Watch a virtual tour of the impressive course HERE.

If you cannot golf with us that day, perhaps consider being a Hole Sponsor! We would love to have your logo or family name posted at one of the course’s beautiful greens. You can register to be a sponsor using the button provided. The Development Office will reach out to you about your signage specifics and will send you photos of your sign after the outing.

A Different Kind of Spring Break

Diakonos is an interesting option for students during Spring Break. This year, twenty students and three teachers spent five days together serving those in need in the Akron area. Days were filled with painting, demolition work, cleaning, and raking for local Christian community organizations, including Legacies of Success, First Glance, The Well, South Street Missions, and Akron Pregnancy Services. Evenings were spent at CVCA cooking meals together, playing games, having bonfires, worshipping together, and “camping out” in the school building. This year, the Scripture focus was on Romans 12 and what it means to live and serve together as the Body of Christ. High school teacher Lauren O’Brien said, “It always refreshes me spending Spring Break with these amazing, humble students!”

Wednesday Morning Worship

One Wednesday morning each quarter is designated as Worship Wednesday. For one hour before school starts, the Chapel is filled with teachers, staff, and students singing praise songs, reading Scripture, and praying together in small groups. What an amazing privilege to be able to do this together at CVCA!

  • This annual event has become a highlight of the year and continues to draw large crowds. Senior projects in photography, painting, drawing, and 3D art are displayed throughout the CVCA building.
  • Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 pm.
  • Join us in the CVCA Chapel for an evening of song featuring all of the CVCA choirs.

Holy Week Thoughts

As we remember the cross on which our Savior died and celebrate His resurrection, I hope you will take time to contemplate the love that led God to sacrifice His only Son to save us from our sins, bring us into relationship with Him, and give us eternal life. I pray that His love will be impressed deeper in your heart and soul this season.
