JULY 28, 2026 UPDATE

As we navigate this school year’s construction, we remain committed to keeping you informed and grateful for the blessing of this new space! We appreciate the city planners and traffic engineers helping things run smoothly. Currently, both lanes on Wyoga Lake Road will stay open during the city’s expansion project. Additionally, Walsh’s new entrance off State Road should help permanently reduce traffic in our area. We’ll share updates as they come!

A few reminders as we journey this together…

  • Be patient and kind: Traffic is always heaviest during the first 2–3 weeks. It will improve as routines settle!
  • Allow extra time: Leaving a few minutes early helps ease morning traffic and stress.
  • Consider carpooling: Fewer cars means smoother traffic for everyone. Email admissions@cvcaroyals.org if you’d like help finding local CVCA families!
  • Choose what works for you: Middle and high school students can use any entrance or exit morning and afternoon.
  • Late arrivals: If arriving after the bell, students can sign in at either the new Student Entrance A or the Welcome Center.
  • Note on the North Entrance: It operates as a two-lane one-way entrance every morning until 12:00 p.m. After 12:00, it becomes a multi-direction lane.

Morning Arrival & Parking Highlights:

  • 7:15–7:30 a.m.: Early arrivals use the Fieldhouse entrance only.
  • 7:30 a.m.: All other doors open.
  • Middle Schoolers: Entrance C or the Athletic Entrance offer the easiest access.
  • Student Drivers: Park in Lot C or Lot D (Seniors) using the designated parking/passing lane (left side) and enter the building through any door.
  • Drop-Offs: Lots A (Learning Commons) and B (Back Entrance) remain open as drop-off locations in addition to the new door at the middle school wing.
  • Drive Safe: The North Entrance operates as two lanes (one-way) until noon then becomes multi-directional. The South Exit is strictly EXIT ONLY at all times.

Afternoon Pick-Up & Dismissal Details:

  • Locations & Traffic: Use the same doors for pick-up as drop-off. Note that after noon, the North Entrance/Exit becomes two-way (right lane IN, left lane OUT).
  • Timely Pick-Up (2:50 p.m.): Please pick up students promptly at dismissal. Unless attending a school activity, all students need to clear the building by 3:15 p.m. for daily cleaning.
  • After 3:15 p.m.: Students awaiting rides should wait at the Learning Commons.

Traffic and Construction FAQs

Our goal is to share info as soon as we have it. Construction can be unpredictable, so while we’ll communicate all we can, there may be some unplanned activity from time to time.

We’re working closely with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and the project contractors to stay synced on timelines. These partnerships help us keep you informed and minimize disruptions to our school day.

The trees on the land to CVCA’s north were cut down in preparation for future residential housing. To date, the landowner and the construction company are preparing initial proposals for submission to the City of Cuyahoga Falls for approval. More details forthcoming as they are made available.

Yes. The Wyoga Lake Road construction project was recently awarded to a general contractor. The overall project extends from Steels Corner to Seasons Road. Construction is currently expected to start in June. Once the construction plan is published, more information will be available.

Information will be sent via email and in the Royal Weekly every Monday. Expect to hear from us regarding this topic in the coming weeks and months as we navigate this together.

If you are just dropping off and do not need to park during the school day, you can simply stop in the front circle outside the main entrance. We hope to keep the front entrance area free of student parking to ensure ample visitor parking.

Yes, we are hoping to keep several visitor spaces open during the school day.

Yes! As part of the campus-wide improvement/transformation, Athletic Field #2 (behind Royals Fieldhouse) will be converted into a large parking lot with 230 plus spaces.

  • The construction will take place at the back of the school, outside of our highly trafficked areas.
  • This new lot is designed to offset the loss of parking spaces during the building project and to permanently improve parking and traffic flow for the expanded student body.
  • The current construction timeline is scheduled to begin this month and to last for about two weeks.
  • More information will be provided as construction plans are finalized.
