Next Week is Resonate – November 7-9
Resonate, a three-day chapel experience for students, will take place on Wednesday through Friday, November 7-9. We will hear from Christopher Yuan, a renowned author, speaker, and professor at Moody Bible Institute. While the cultural messages related to human sexuality are often in direct opposition to the teachings of scripture, Dr. Yuan will provide a powerful testimony about a Christian response to homosexuality and sexuality from a biblical perspective. We believe, based on current research, that this topic is very relevant to our students. With this in mind, we welcome the biblical encouragement from Dr. Yuan and trust it will be a valuable time for our community to consider these important issues in light of the good news of the Gospel. With extensive experience speaking to both middle and high school students, Dr. Yuan will provide developmentally different messages around the same topics for the high school and middle school chapels.

CVCA Avenues Toward College Credit Presentation – November 7
CVCA will offer a presentation on “Avenues Toward College Credit at CVCA” on Wednesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Learing Commons. All parents and students of our CVCA community are invited, but the presentation will be MOST relevant for current parents of 10th and 11th graders and their student(s). Earning college credit during high school allows students to enter college or university with advanced standing, often having already completed some collegiate general education requirements. Opportunities to earn college credit include: Advanced Placement (AP) exams, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, and dual credit opportunities – including some that may qualify for funding through Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program. Come hear about the ways qualified students can gain college experience and credit at low or no additional cost while participating fully in high school life at CVCA!
