SOBE Business Night – May 8
The 2019 SOBE Marketing Event will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 5:00 p.m. SOBE juniors have partnered with local businesses to design a marketing plan that they hope will increase the awareness and profitability of each business. At this event, the juniors will present to a panel of marketing experts and their local businesses partners for a chance at cash prizes and the title of “Marketing Pitch Champions.” Please join us for this special, public event. Congratulations to the Chamber Singers
For the first time in over 39 years, a CVCA Choir, The Chamber Singers made it to the State Contest after receiving a 1 Superior Rating at Districts in March. Not only did they compete in Class A (a very difficult Class,) but The Chamber Singers received straight 1’s from every judge including the sight-reading judge. This has earned the CVCA Chamber Singers state recognition from the Ohio Music Educator’s Association and a beautiful plaque to be engraved with their name.

2019-2020 Cheer Clinic & Tryouts – May 13, 16, 17
Cheer Clincs will be held on May 13 and 16, 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the CVCA small gymnasium. Tryouts will be on May 17 at 3:30 p.m., also in the small gym. All participants must pick up a tryout packet from the Athletic Office and bring the signed paper to the May 13 clinic in order to participate. Visual Arts Portfolio Show – May 13
Please join us for our annual Portfolio Show featuring work from students in Graphic Design 1 & 2, Photo Illustration, 2D Art and 3D Art. Light refreshments will be provided. The show will be in the Learning Commons on Monday, May 13, 5:30-7:00 p.m., with a short awards ceremony at 6:45.
Senior Brunch/Awards Time Change – May 17
The start time for this year’s Senior Brunch/Awards (for students only) has been changed. Seniors, please meet in the Learning Commons at 10:45 a.m. for brunch on Friday, May 17!
Exams for seniors will be May 13-15. Teachers will communicate to their students directly whether they are required to take an exam. Seniors with a B- or better for both 3rd and 4th quarter are not required to take a semester exam.
Exams for middle school and high school will be May 20-23.

International Student Host Families for 2019-2020
International student hosting is a great way for your entire family to experience another culture right in your own home as well as share the love of Christ. The impact you make on a student could reach around the world! We currently have 14 international students enrolled for the Fall 2019 semester and are taking applications for host families for them.
