Thankful for You

Parents, CVCA thrives because of the time, talent, energy, and resources you give to this school. THANK YOU for your prayers, power meals, baking, mentoring, financial donations, and the many other ways you have contributed. Your commitment to CVCA strengthens every part of your student’s experience – from academics, to the arts, to athletics.

Our CVCA parent volunteers are invited to a dessert reception tonight, May 21, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. We hope this special evening will show our gratefulness for your kindness towards CVCA this year! There is still room for a few more of you. Please RSVP to Maryann McMullen at mmcmullen@cvcaroyals.org.

Please Pray for the Pittsburgh Project Team

The CVCA Pittsburgh Project trip is a long-standing summer service camp that CVCA freshmen attend with The Pittsburgh Project organization, a Christian non-profit community development organization serving Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable residents. Please pray for these students as they bond as a class, and unify around the Gospel as they share and help others. The Pittsburgh Project trip is June 10 to 16.

Please Pray for our DR Mission Trip Team

The current junior class will be serving God in the Dominican Republic from June 6 to 13. They will participate in children’s ministry in the small farming villages, assist with home construction jobs for local families, share the Gospel, and seek to deepen their spiritual disciplines. This is a life-changing trip where students both grow and serve. Please pray for: the team’s safety, that they will serve effectively and impactfully, and that their relationships with the Lord and each other will be strengthened and renewed as they work to further God’s Kingdom.

International Student Host Families for 2018-2019

International student hosting is a great way for your entire family to experience another culture right in your own home as well as share the love of Christ. The impact you make on a student could reach around the world! We currently have 12 international students enrolled for the Fall 2018 semester and are taking applications for host families for them. If you are interested or just curious about getting involved in CVCA’s international student program through long-term hosting, please contact ISP Coordinator Ellen Rasper at erasper@cvcaroyals.org.

Lego Donations

Cornerstone Community School has asked us for some help! They are building a “Maker’s Space,” a place for kids to explore, build, and learn about all of the things their Maker has given them. Cornerstone has asked us to help build their supply of Legos for the new space. If you have Legos that are not in use in your home, would you consider donating them to CCS? They will be collecting them until the end of the school year. Legos can be dropped off at Cornerstone at 90 W. Overdale Dr. in Tallmadge or can be dropped off in Mrs. Mucha’s classroom for transport. Thank you for your help!
