The Royal Weekly – December 4, 2017

More than 260 people in the CVCA community joined together on #GivingTuesday last week to raise $147,275 – including a very generous $60,000 match. Together you are giving the CVCA experience to more students. Thank you for your generosity!

Service Hours Parent Approval Needed by December 5

Parents/guardians will now receive texts (from a 734 area code) or emails (from Helper Helper) asking them to verify their student’s service hours. They will need to review the hours the student submitted and either approve or reject them. Any questions about the hours should be addressed before pressing the approval or rejection buttons. The Helper Helper app automatically creates a running portfolio of a student’s service hours. Then, on each due date (December 5 for this semester) only hours verified by a parent/guardian on the app will be counted toward their grade. Students serving 8 or more hours between May and December 5, 2017 will receive a passing grade for this semester. Parents, please encourage your student to download the Helper Helper phone app. It is also available on their Chromebook at
