Learn How to Earn College Credits While at CVCA – November 6
Are you interested in earning college credits while enrolled at CVCA? Students in grades 10-11 and their parents are invited to learn more at the Avenues toward College Credit at CVCA presentation on Wednesday, November 6, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons.
Earning college credits during high school allows you to enter college or university with advanced standing, often having already completed some collegiate general education requirements. In addition to the learning opportunities advanced coursework provides, earning college credits now can provide significant financial savings. Many early avenues to college credit are affordable or free compared to the cost of traditional college tuition. These opportunities include: Advanced Placement (AP) exams, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, and dual credit opportunities – including some that may qualify for funding through Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program. Come hear how qualified students can gain college experience and credit at low or no additional cost while participating fully in high school life at CVCA! Questions? Please contact Mr. Randy Tomich in the Guidance Office.

#GivingTuesday – December 3
Every year #GivingTuesday kicks off the holiday giving season by inspiring people worldwide to give to charities they support. The impact of the CVCA #GivingTuesday is powerful with everyone in our school community uniting to give a CVCA education to more students through financial assistance. One family’s $25 combines with another family’s $50, and an alum’s $100, and a grandparent’s $10, and so on… It’s not how much you give, it’s that you give. Mark your calendars for December 3 to join in the excitement. More information will be in the Royal Weekly each week.
The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) can help you save money on tuition.
When you purchase gift cards through the TRIP program to do your daily shopping, tax-free credits are earned on each purchase and accumulate in your TRIP account. The credits are then paid to CVCA and applied to your school tuition balance each semester. Some of TRIP’s great opportunities include:
- TRIP has over 300 merchants to choose from, and the amount of credit that can be earned is infinite.
- Family members can help increase your savings.
- The average grocery and gas savings is 3-5% – far more than credit card points.
- Restaurants have higher percentage rebates and earn more credits!
Orders are due by 7:00 a.m. each Monday, but can be placed any time during the week. Cards are delivered to CVCA Thursdays by noon and can be picked up or sent home with your student depending on your check-out instructions. Simply sign up, log in, begin shopping, and watch your savings grow! Set up an account today HERE!
