Academic Challenge Team Finishes Impressive Season
On Monday, February 3, CVCA’s varsity Academic Challenge team went 4-1 at the annual Summit County League tournament held at Kent State University, bringing their record to 11-6 overall. This year’s team has been led by senior Alex Papatonis, who received first-team honors as one of the top 8 players in the league. Congrats to Alex, Coach Craig McSparran, and seniors Juliea Dworning, Austin Mahajan, Emerson McSparran, and Ethan Wang on a strong finish to a strong season!
Winter Social Tickets on Sale February 12
Tickets for the new Winter Social go on sale Wednesday, February 12. All CVCA students in grades 9-12 are invited to the February 22 evening of entertainment, desserts, dancing, prizes, and more. More information and parent waivers are available HERE.

Student Health and Wellness Reminder
The health and safety of your student is always our highest priority. During this flu season, we would like to update you on our efforts to keep your student safe and also remind you of keeping your family healthy. Our best defense against the spread of respiratory viruses is prevention. Please take a moment to view our health and wellness recommendations posted on the MY CVCA page. Together we can reduce the spread of infections at CVCA.
Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program
Recent press coverage has raised many questions about the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program which provides local and state funded scholarships for eligible students to pay private school tuition. Find out more HERE>>.
Spring Sports Registration Now Open
Registration for 2020 spring sports is now live through FinalForms. Log in to your account HERE>> to register your son or daughter. Be sure to click the button for 2019-2020 registration and select your sport. You can also update any changes to your information at this time. All spring athletes and at least one of his/her parents must attend the mandatory OHSAA Preseason Parent/Athlete Meeting on March 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Hire the CVCA Football Team for the Day – Do you have a job which takes “royal” strength and energy? If so, the CVCA football team is ready to tackle the job! The team will spend one Saturday afternoon in the fall being deployed to do all of your chores: mulching, raking, digging garden beds, painting fences, etc. With 48 players and coaches on hand your tasks will be done in a jiffy. Or you can share the football team’s labors with your neighbors who might need a hand. The team’s service will be coordinated with Coach Larlham and take place on a mutually agreed upon date on a Saturday afternoon after a home JV game in the fall.
Farm Fresh Basket – Enjoy two dozen organic, cage-free brown eggs, 12 oz. homemade maple syrup, 1 quart home-canned green beans, 1 pint homemade canned applesauce (no sugar added), homemade bread, and 1 1/2 pints apple jelly. Donated by CVCA teacher Jennifer Moore and her husband from their farm.
The Royal Theatre Spring Musical – April 24-25 and May 1-2
The Royal Theatre presents Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. The Preview Night ($6 at the door tickets only) will be held on April 22 at 6:30 p.m. Regular performances will be April 24–25 at 7:00 p.m., May 1 at 7:00 p.m., and May 2 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale Sunday, April 5 at iTickets.com.
