Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday at CVCA

When you join the excitement by giving your first Christmas gift of the season to CVCA on #GivingTuesday, you will help give the CVCA experience to more students through financial assistance. Every gift makes a difference! It’s not how much you give – it’s that you do give. Give easily online at or by sending a check to CVCA. Thank YOU in advance for giving your first Christmas gift to CVCA for #GivingTuesday.

Wear Your “Ugly” Christmas Sweater Tomorrow!

Students are invited to wear an “ugly” Christmas sweater to school tomorrow, December 3 to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Note that all other student uniform standards apply. An ugly Christmas sweater contest with prizes will be held during 5A and 5B lunches in the Learning Commons.

CVCA Christmas Outreach to Support Urban Vision – December 6

Student Leadership Council is excited to lead CVCA’s annual Christmas outreach to provide items for Urban Vision, an Akron community ministry founded by a CVCA graduate. Urban Vision seeks to prayerfully and relationally reach North Akron children and families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

To help with the Christmas Store, our students are asked to bring a gift to donate towards this ministry. We encourage students to use their own money to purchase these gifts. Walmart and similar stores will have all of the items assigned. Gifts are being collected through Connections Groups and are due on Friday, December 6.

Celebrate the Christmas Season with our Music Department

The CVCA Instrumental Concert will be on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature performances by our middle school and high school handbell ensembles, orchestra, and bands.

CVCA’s Vocal Music Concert will be on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature all seven choirs with The Royal Vision Show Choir and all middle school choirs in the first half of the concert and the Gospel Choir, Concert Choir, and Chamber Singers in the second half. Alumni are invited to sing with us on the final three traditional numbers of “White Christmas,” “Carol of the Bells,” and “Night of Silence.”

The Royal Ringers will perform two numbers on stage at EJ Thomas Hall with the Akron Symphony Orchestra for their “Home for the Holidays” concert on Friday, December 13, beginning at 7:30 p.m. They will also be one of the groups providing music in the lobby before the concert, beginning at 6:15 p.m. This is a great honor for the Royal Ringers to be asked to perform on a professional stage with one of Northeast Ohio’s finest professional orchestras.
