We have several new faculty and staff members joining us this year. They each come as highly qualified educators, and we are blessed that God has brought each of them to CVCA.
We are privileged to welcome Mr. Jeff Lewis to CVCA’s facilities team. He is an Army veteran with 25 years of experience as a Sheriff Deputy. Mr. Lewis is married, has a son, and we are extremely thankful for his humble willingness to serve at CVCA.
Ms. Jenna Barbieri is joining the CVCA faculty as a high school Bible teacher. She comes very well equipped as someone who received a B.A. in Bible Secondary Education from Moody Bible Institute and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (with a Spiritual Formation Emphasis). We are thrilled to have her join the team.
As someone who was deeply impacted by his own CVCA experience, Mr. Connor Blatchford ’13 will be working as CVCA’s new Alumni Coordinator. He will also assist with the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. He is passionate about Christian education and desires to impact students for Christ.
Mr. Mark Brower ’12 served in CVCA’s Learning Commons last year and coached three different sports. He describes CVCA faculty and staff having a seminal impact on his life as a student. Mr. Brower holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Calvin College and minored in Ministry Leadership. We are grateful for his passion for CVCA and his commitment to students. Mr. Brower will be teaching part-time in the high school Social Studies department.
Mrs. Kelly Cook will be serving as CVCA School of Medical Professions Liason. She has had a host of different experiences in the business world that will serve her well in her new role. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and is excited to partner with this important program at CVCA. Mrs. Cook is married and has four children.
Mr. Caleb Eernisse has, most recently, been serving on the pastoral staff at Christ Community Chapel before coming to CVCA. He is a gifted teacher and has earned a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Taylor University and an M.Div. in Biblical Studies from Southern Evangelical Seminary. Mr. Eernisse will be teaching high school Bible and coaching boys soccer. It is our privilege to have him as part of the faculty. Caleb and Kaelie have two sons.
Mr. Jordan Fairfax ’04 is uniquely positioned to take over CVCA’s video media program. Mr. Fairfax and his family have served in ministry at The Chapel and Urban Vision while remaining involved at CVCA as a coach. He holds a B.A. in Electronic Media from Moody Bible Institute and M.A. in Education from Western Governors University.
Mr. Juan Morales will be teaching high school Spanish classes. He has broad-ranging educational experience at schools in the States, as well as, Alliance Academy International in Quito, Ecuador. Mr. Morales and his wife have three children and comes to CVCA with a B.S in Religion and an M.A. in Teaching from Liberty University. We are very excited about the perspective that he will bring to the World Language classroom.
We are thrilled about the addition of Mrs. Louisa Neumann to the middle school Student Ministries team. She will be working on a part-time basis developing discipleship relationships with girls and serving as a resource to parents and staff. Mrs. Louisa Neumann recently served on staff at Christ Community Chapel and holds a B.A. in Management with Employee Relations from the University of Central Lancashire and an M.A. in Youth Ministry with Applied Theology from Oxford Brooks University.
Hannah Young ’01 is no stranger to CVCA. She is a gifted educator with significant experience. While teaching in Oregon she received teacher of the year honors at Brookings-Harbor High School. Mrs. Young holds B.S. in Bible from Clarks Summit University and M.A.T. from Western Oregon University. We are confident that she will be a wonderful addition to the high school English department. Hannah and Jon have two children.
