Transportation Coordinator

The Position:

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is seeking a Transportation Coordinator.   This position is responsible for supervising the CVCA transportation department:  managing the day-to-day operations, assuring safe, adequate and efficient transportation for students and employees and maintaining all school vehicles and coordination of their use. 

This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Ministry Requirements:

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Faithfully upholds CVCA in prayer
  • Participates in chapel as schedule permits
  • Demonstrates behavior aligned with CVCA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Core Values, policies, and expectations
  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule vehicle usage for all trips (i.e. athletic trips, field trips, etc…)
  • Delegate work assignments to drivers
  • Ensure all drivers meet defined training requirements, certifications, physical exams, etc…
  • Provide monthly communication regarding all scheduled trips
  • Develop, implement and maintain a vehicle maintenance program for all CVCA vehicles
  • Ensure all CVCA vehicles are properly inspected based on the State of Ohio requirements
  • Supervise all personnel engaged in the operation of CVCA-owned vehicles
  • Ensure state and federal laws, rules and regulations, school board and department policies and procedures are implemented and followed

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years progressive supervisory experience in School Transportation or Planning/Logistics
