Many exciting opportunities will be available for students during Mterm 2020 (March Term) which will take place March 16-20, 2020. The entire selection of courses and trips can be found in the booklet linked above.
Middle school students are automatically enrolled in their Mterm. Detailed packets and information for Excelerate (6th grade), Elevate (7th grade), and Prepare to Believe (8th grade) will be provided by the leaders of those experiences.
Participation in Mterm each year a student is enrolled in high school at CVCA is a graduation requirement. We encourage you to explore the Mterm 2020 Course and Trip Offerings INSERT LINK as a family and discuss which option(s) might be both beneficial and financially feasible for your student. The costs and details for each Mterm opportunity are listed in the document.
A student selecting from the on-campus courses must select one all-day Mterm OR both a morning and afternoon Mterm course.
We encourage juniors and seniors to consider a Career Experience Opportunity (CEO) for their Mterm.
For students selecting an Mterm Trip, a non-refundable deposit of $175 is required at the time of registration. The balance of the trip costs will be split into 3 payments due September 30, November 26, and January 31, 2020. Due to planning commitments, families are responsible for the full cost of trips for which a student is registered after September 30, 2019. [Note: Trips through Joshua Expeditions may have a different payment schedule.] Additionally, students traveling abroad are required to have a passport valid through September 2020.
BOYS TENNIS TRIP:
The Boys Tennis Team Trip is required for all players on the boys tennis team. While no deposit is required at this time, please note that families will be responsible for the cost of this Mterm trip once team rosters are finalized.
ATHLETIC SPRING TRAINING TRIP:
The Athletic Spring Training at Disney Trip is open to all CVCA athletes (deposit required), but all spring athletes must obtain pre-approval from their head coach. All other spring athletes are expected to select a local Mterm opportunity so they can participate in practices and games as outlined in the CVCA Student/Parent Handbook, page 52. Any questions or concerns regarding this policy should be directed to the Athletic Department.
Questions about a course or trip listed in the Mterm 2020 Course and Trip Offerings should be directed to the lead faculty member listed in the document. For other questions about Mterm, contact Linda Staker at [email protected].
