Executive Administrative Assistant

The Position:

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant. This is a critical role that is responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support to the Administrative Team as appropriate and necessary to ensure the services and functions of the office are carried out in an efficient and professional manner. This position also serves as the primary point of contact (internal and external) on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President and Headmaster.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to “Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ.” We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically-integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals. We are committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. We are committed to providing our students with experiences that will foster in them a servant’s heart, including extra-curricular activities, interscholastic athletics, music, theater, short-term mission trips, and numerous service opportunities. Ministry Requirements:

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, coordinate, or support activities/events (National Honor Society, Graduation, Royal Scholars Banquet, Christmas Luncheon, Year-end Breakfast, Faculty/Staff Service Awards and other special events)
  • Prepare state reports for the Ohio Department of Education
  • Work with Administration to prepare School Calendar and coordinate Picture Day and the Semester Exam schedule
  • Provide administrative assistance through scheduling appointments, observations, reviews, meetings; completing requests; filing; preparing for meetings, orientations, and in-services; processing correspondence; and compiling information
  • Maintain and updates state certification & ACSI certification for faculty
  • Act as liaison between Headmaster and faculty, parents, etc.
  • Support the recruiting/interviewing/hiring process for faculty: collect resumes, schedule interviews, prepare offer letters and contracts, collect appropriate licensure documentation
  • Monitor expenditures (Continuing Education)
  • Prepare MFE packets for faculty reviews
  • Compile information for Faculty/Staff Service Awards
  • Work with the Dean of Students’ Office related to student discipline issues

What you need:

  • Associate’s degree in Administration, Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of related experience
