Urban Vision Christmas Store Drop Off
Help Make A Family’s Christmas Extra Special This Year…
Student Leadership Council is excited to lead CVCA’s annual Christmas outreach to provide items for Urban Vision, an Akron community ministry founded by a CVCA graduate.
Neighborhood children who participate in Urban Vision’s programs and Bible studies have the opportunity to earn “UV bucks” for attendance, good behavior, good and improved grades. The children not only learn responsibility, but they also use their “bucks” to purchase Christmas gifts for their families and friends at the Christmas Store. CVCA’s donated gift items are a huge blessing to this wonderful ministry.
Each Connections Group is collecting different items such as toys, household goods, and personal items. CVCA students are asked to bring in their gift item on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8 to their HOMEROOM CLASS. We will have extended time that morning for the students to bring all the gifts to the large gym. Connections leaders may choose to collect items ahead of time and store in their classrooms or send reminders to your students to make sure they bring in their item on December 8.
Students will be assigned their gift item to purchase starting the week of November 13. All gifts are in a 10.00 value range.
Questions about gifts or the Urban Vision Ministry can be directed to Mrs. McMullen
