“I love it when alumni come back to visit because it gives us a chance to remind them of how loved they were as students at CVCA. It also gives us the opportunity to express to alumni how proud of them we are.” –Zach Churchill

“Don’t even come back 😉” –Dubbs

“When alumni return to visit, I am reminded that CVCA is not simply a 6-year investment within these walls. The relationships made and faith lived among Royals last forever.” –Jacob Piland

“It’s great to talk with old friends and see what God is doing in all of their lives.” –David Ramey

“It is so encouraging to us as teachers to have former students stop in to say hi. We always want to assume we’ve made an impact in someone’s life, that we’re doing God’s work, and there is no better reinforcement of that than a smile and hug from an alum.” –Marian Stofsick

“I love Homecoming so very much because I get to see three groups of CVCA people – high school friends, current students, and former students! It is always a joy to see familiar faces back at the school, as well as hear how you guys are all doing. So come back and visit!” –Amy Mucha

“Homecoming events provide a rare opportunity to experience the tapestry of people that have made CVCA the remarkable place that it once was, still is, and is becoming. These events highlight the warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm for Christian education that bind CVCA’s tremendous staff, students and families into one community.” –Matt Fleagle

“I love when alums return and tell stories about the class they were in that I taught.” –Nancy Miller

“Whenever I get the chance to interact with our alumni and hear what is happening in their lives I come away encouraged. We see our students for a short window of time, a semester or a whole year, and then they are off. I teach seniors for one year and then they head off to college and I wonder what will become of them. Then, over the next few years they come back and standing in front of me is an older and wiser growing disciple of Christ. These encounters remind me of the importance of what parents and teachers do as they pour into the lives of young people and it reminds me of the character of our God who is steadfast in His love. These encounters are good for my soul and they remind me to stay vigilant to our calling as educators and mentors, because the Lord is using those things to transform young men and women into His disciples. Sometimes in the midst of my job I forget to think much past the end of the year and graduation. So, to all the alumni who have come back to say hi and share what’s going on in your life I say thank you for that, it is a joy and encouragement to hear from you.” –Adam Armstrong
