Drumline Instructor

The Position:

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is seeking a Drumline Instructor. This is a seasonal position from August to October.

This position has responsibility for teaching students detailed skills in percussion, raising the ability level and exposure of the drumline, assisting in maintaining percussion equipment, expanding the performance capabilities of the CVCA drumline, choosing and/or writing drum cadences, and helping create a sense of comraderie and identity within the drumline. 

This position will exemplify leadership and strong ethical standards, set a good example for students to follow with both words and gestures, refrain from the use of profanity, obscene language or improper actions, and maintain the highest level of Christ-like character.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry that is dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals. What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience with instructing/teaching percussion preferred
  • Availability for practices with students
  • Ability to tune and do minor repairs on drumline equipment
  • Must have strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
