Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry dedicated to Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. Job Summary:

Provide general administrative assistance, including but not limited to answering the telephone, directing calls, responding to basic student and staff requests or questions, processing forms, and maintaining certain records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage of the general phone line for the Front Office and greet guests to the Main Office
  • Collaborate with the Attendance Team to ensure attendance is reported and recorded for all classes each period
  • Collaborate with the Attendance Team to maintain all excused and unexcused absence documentation and record-keeping
  • In coordination with the Welcome Center, document late arrival and early dismissal students
  • Communicate with parents and students regarding attendance-related questions and concerns
  • Distribute student detentions and monitor individual detentions during lunch periods
  • Manage and document SAS (Student Appearance Standards) referrals from teachers
  • Support and collaborate to ensure that substitute teachers are equipped for daily duties
  • Other duties as assigned

  • A creative self-starter who works independently with little supervision

  • Proficient in Google Suite (e.g., Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheets, ), Microsoft Office, e-mail, internet, and other relevant software
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One (1) year of related experience

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Work is typically performed in a conventional office environment
  • Sit for long periods of time working on a computer
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
