Founded in 1968, CVCA has become a leading Christian college preparatory Junior-Senior High School, offering a quality, Christ-centered education in Northeast Ohio.
Beginning with the presupposition that “all truth is God’s truth,” the curriculum is taught from a distinctively Christian perspective, providing students with a Christian worldview and training them to think “Christianly.” Students benefit from CVCA’s strong emphasis on prayer and from the school’s thoughtful and comprehensive Bible curriculum.
Faculty members are believers and highly trained educators, who serve as Christian role models and mentors. From 7th grade through 12th, CVCA offers a program rich in liberal arts and strong in technology — the Junior High program is especially tailored to meet the unique needs of students at a transitional point in their lives.
Fine Arts options include Vocal and Instrumental Music, Theatre, Art, and Forensics. Forty-one percent of the students participate in Fine Arts.
Athletic options include 20 Varsity, 14 Junior Varsity and 15 Junior High teams. Sixty-five percent of the students participate in athletics.
Throughout its history, CVCA has enjoyed strong support and involvement from its families. Equally significant is the extraordinary support that CVCA’s partners have recently given to establish a strong foundation for scholarships and need-based financial aid. Now, we must bring this partnership together again to improve our ability to impact students’ passion for Christ by addressing the physical aspects of the school.
Right now, nearly 840 students crowd the halls of CVCA in a space originally developed in 1997 to accommodate 660 students. It is time to expand and bring greater efficiency and effectiveness to the Academy’s programs in order to remain strong and fulfill our mission — Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ — at a deeper level.
