OUT WITH THE OLD (ELECTRONICS) & IN WITH THE NEW!
HELP CVCA BY DONATING OLD CELL PHONES, ELECTRONICS & JEWELRY
Do you have a collection of old cell phones, digital games, and other electronic equipment that you don’t know what to do with? CVCA is undertaking a fund raiser that will recycle old electronic equipment. We will send them to a company that will recycle them and in return give us cash. These proceeds will then go to CVCA’s current building project, the Tools for Transforming Tomorrow campaign.
Many different types of electronics are included in this fund raiser. Please use the guidelines below when deciding what to donate. Donated items do not have to be in working condition.
• all brands and types of cell phones
• all brands of laptops or notebook computers. (Security information about your computer's harddrive.)
• ink jet cartridges that have not been refilled or broken in any way. If a cartridge is larger than the palm of your hand, it is not an ink jet
• MP3 players of the following brands: Apple iPod, Microsoft Zune, Sandisk Sansa, and Creative Zen
• all brands of digital cameras, digital video cameras, and handheld games
• TI graphing calculators
• GPS devices – TomTom, Garmin,Magellan, and Mio brands
• radar detector – Escort, Beltronics, and Cobra brands
• E-Book readers – Kindle, Sony, and Verizon iRex brands
• Gold, silver, and platinum jewelry– even jewelry that is broken
Donated items can be dropped off at the CVCA Welcome Center anytime. Please contact Linda Schilling with any questions at 330-929-0575 ext. 318.
Additional information about computer hard drives: Recycling Fundraiser removes and destroys (drills) any hard drives that are sent inside laptop or netbook computers. The hard drives are then sent to be crushed so that information cannot be recovered. Donors are welcome to remove their own hard drives before donating a laptop or netbook computer. Laptops and netbooks that are received without the hard drive will still be credited at the full listed price provided that the item is in working condition and has the hard drive caddy, connector and screws intact.
