What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising program designed to bridge the gap between tuition and fees and the actual cost of our children's education. Contributions to the Annual Fund directly support students, programs and school facilities. CVCA depends on Annual Fund revenues to help balance the annual budget.

Why is the Annual Fund so important to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy?

Unrestricted gifts provide the most critical dollars for the school because they allow maximum flexibility to apply funds where they are needed most. Community support for the Annual Fund also impacts CVCA's ability to receive contributions from foundations and corporations and will inspire gifts from other CVCA families.  By participating, each family expresses confidence in the schools' current mission and helps ensure future prosperity.

In addition to the Annual Fund described above, the Academy has special non-budgeted projects that are solely funded by individuals and foundations.

Student Financial Assistance - Provides tuition assistance for financial emergency circumstances.

DeBlander Financial Assistance - Provides additional need-based financial assistance to African American students.

Student and Deblander Financial Assistance are on-going programs that are funded out of budget.

Details of Income Sources:

Tuition ($7,450) and Registration fees provide 87.1% of these funds.
Other (Joshua Campaign included)
Advancement Events - approximately $141,000.
The Royal Auction, Jog-for-Others and the Annual Golf Outing are the three major fundraisers that assist us in meeting our annual budget need.

Mandated Services - $225,000. Funds are for compliance with state required services, such as, attendance, fire and severe weather drills, etc.

Special Programs Revenue - approximately $126,000. Programs include athletic fees and athletic event receipts, building rental revenue, summer camp fees, and other miscellaneous income.
