2011 PAC CHAMPIONS!
The key to the success of the 2011 CVCA Football season can be summed up in one word: TEAM! The senior leadership of John Allen, Jack Bowers, Ben Engle, Drew Jordan, Josh Knisley, Matt Meadows, Kevin Moore, Aaron Port, and Nate Rosenberger produced a unified team as the players bonded each week.
The season did not start out the way the Royals had intended, but through hard work, determination, and the ability to overcome adversity along the way, the players worked to improve, to play for one another, and to give God the glory. The team’s focus never changed: do your job, one play at a time, for 48 minutes. The Royals were able to win 7 straight games and a share of the PAC Championship!
Eight players received All-Conference honors: PAC First Team selections went to seniors Meadows, Rosenberger, Allen, Jordan, as well as juniors Antonio Carroscia and Josh Decatur. Seniors Engle and Knisley received PAC Honorable Mention. The CVCA Football Team's punter and kicker Aaron Port was selected as the PAC-7 Special Teams Player of the Year! Aaron's punting and kicking abilities help CVCA earn a share of the 2011 PAC-7 Championship! Congratulations Aaron! CONGRATULATIONS, PAC CHAMPIONS!
