ACT & SAT TESTS We recommend that students take each test once in their junior year and then retake the one they feel most comfortable with a second time. Juniors may want to wait until the spring semester to take the SAT so that they can use the results from the PSAT as a study guide. Register online for the ACT at www.actstudent.org and for the SAT at www.collegeboard.com. When students register, use the CVCA school code 361771. By doing so, CVCA will receive a copy of the results and can add this information to the student's record to send to colleges. ACT TEST DATES - February 11, 2012
(Registration deadline - January 13, 2012) - April 14, 2012
(Registration deadline - March 9, 2012) - June 9, 2012
(Registration deadline - May 4, 2012) SAT TEST DATES - January 28, 2012
(Registration deadline - December 30, 2011) - March 10, 2012

INDIVIDUALIZED HELP FROM GUIDANCE OFFICE | Starting this year, we are assigning every high school student to a guidance counselor. The breakdown is as follows: Mrs. Plum (A – Ha) First letter of student’s last name Mr. Kasiguran (He – O) Mr. Tomich (Department Head) (P – Z) Guidance Office phone number: 330-920-8204 | If you have a general question for the guidance office, or if the student stops in with a general question and the assigned counselor is not available, one of the other counselors will certainly step in and take the question. Periodically, each counselor will check the academic progress of the students in his or her group. We will work with you during the school year to help students get the academic support that they need. We’re looking forward to working with all of you in our mission of Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ. |
