Current Graduation Requirements
(Class of 2012 and 2013)
| | Students must have earned 22 high school credits as outlined below to be eligible for graduation from CVCA. Students must have also passed the Proficiency Test required by state law. | | | | Grades 9 - 12 Credit Requirements | | Bible | 4 credits | (one per year) * | | English | 4 credits | | | Math | 3 credits | | | Science | 3 credits | (Must include Biology & Chemistry) | | Social Studies | 3 credits | (Global Studies, Modern American or AP US History, Government, Economics) | | Speech or Debate | 1/2 credit | | | Foreign Language | 2 credits | (same language) | | Computer Applications | 1/2 credit | | | Physical Education | 1/2 credit ** | (2 semesters = 1/2 credit) or PE Waiver Option (See Guidance Counselor) | | Health | 1/2 credit | | | Fine Arts | 1 credit | | | Electives | 2 credits | | | Total | 24 credits | | | * Transfer students are required to take Bible only while in attendance at CVCA. |
