Quick Facts about CVCA

- College preparatory, interdenominational Christian junior high and high school located on 70 acres in northern Summit County. CVCA is committed to academic excellence in a supportive, distinctively Christian environment.
- Accreditation - CVCA has been chartered by the Ohio Department of Education since 1975 with a College Preparatory Designation granted in 1994.
- Affiliations - Association of Christian Schools International, Ohio Association of College Admissions Counselors, Ohio High School Athletic Association and Principals' Athletic Conference.
- Advanced placement - eight courses offered with over 82% of students scoring high enough to receive college credit.
- Enrollment - 853 students currently attend CVCA. The Academy serves students from Summit, Portage, Cuyahoga, Medina, Stark, Geauga, and Lake counties.
- National Merit Finalists - during the last 5 years, CVCA has had 11 National Merit Finalists and 33 Commended Scholars
- Spiritual development - CVCA students attend weekly chapel, take a Bible class each year and have many opportunities to serve others locally and abroad.
- SAT and ACT Scores - The average CVCA SAT score was 1125 (with a 557 writing average). The average CVCA ACT score was 25 (The ACT national average was 21.1)
- To promote an atmosphere of modesty and respect, CVCA has appearance standards for students and staff.

- An interscholastic athletic schedule with 14 junior high teams which include: football, soccer (girls and boys), cross country (girls and boys), basketball (girls and boys), and track (girls and boys)

- A new J-Term junior high program: enhancement activities in study skills, spiritual formation, and experiential learning outside of the classroom
- ConnectionGroups: every student meets weekly in gender and grade-specific small groups with an advisor to discuss real-life issues that students face
- An active Student Ministries program: weekly chapel programs, service opportunities, Bible studies

Senior High at CVCA - CVCA ranked in the top 3% of all schools in Ohio (983) on the mandatory Ohio Graduation Test, with 95% of our students scoring at the proficient or above level in only tenth grade
- Schools of Distinction offered within the rigorous college preparatory curriculum, exposing students to their professional fields of interest
- 98% of CVCA’s graduates attend post secondary institutions
- CVCA offers eight Advanced Placement courses
- Last year over 35% of our students went on school mission trips and the entire student body spent over 14,000 hours serving
- CVCA athletics include 36 high school teams, many of which reach the state playoffs each year
- Our Fine Arts department maintains sixteen performing arts groups
- J-term: a two-week learning block providing a wide range of educational classes, mission and internship opportunities, and speciaized programs
- Approximately $850,000 of financial assistance will be awarded in 2011-12
